ESFJ
Warm relationships lead to improvement of life for everyone. Prefers the real, the tangible, the practical. Strongly prefers to prepare, to know the agenda well ahead of the event so that he/she can prepare properly—and, in part to maintain harmony and in part to deal with his/her own efficiency and process orientation—he or she will reliably do the homework. Expectations must be clear, and everything must be done in a cooperative environment—otherwise, how can anything possibly get done? Loves to be a part of the decision-making process, to interact with lots of others, especially when they’re nice, friendly, and appreciative. Things run better if I organize them, for myself and for others, too. I have my standards, and I prefer that everyone adhere to them so that we can be efficient and productive. If the chain of command is clear, things go better. No reason for not showing up on time, fully prepared, sticking to the schedule.
Potential Areas of Conflict
Do not get on this one’s bad side—they can be vindictive, with an elephant’s memory of the tiniest infraction. Burns bridges, crosses people off his/her list. High-handed, but believes he/she is doing so for all the best reasons. Still, this kind of precision and standards-adherence becomes exhausting for him/herself and others, so discouragement is part of the mix. So, too, is the blame game and some anxiety. Short-term thinking comes easily, but long-term, and out-of-the-box thinking is an honest struggle. May feel overwhelmed, may shut down. May compromise just to keep things moving, with bad results. Difficult for this one to generalize—learning in one domain may be difficult to transfer to another. Often moves too quickly. Takes things personally.
