ESFP

Hands-on, personal involvement with many other people in a fun environment. Keeps a bunch of projects and ideas in motion, but he/she is easygoing and is drawn to the thing that needs attention right now. Fun is a big part of it—surprises, adventures, cool people, enthusiasm, great spirit. Very powerful motivator, especially skilled in interpersonal relations and group dynamics—that comes naturally. Must be in the center of the action. Wants to feel appreciated, to be rewarded for a job well done. A design thinker. Sees and arranges, understands how the world ought to look. Dislikes politics and manipulation—what you see is what you get. A great person to be around.

 

Potential Areas of Conflict

Not a very good planner. Tends to think in the short-term, and is often mystified by those who can see a bigger picture, a longer timeline. Not wonderful with details; they seem tedious, so they’re to be dispensed with, quickly. Everything feels personal—easily discouraged. Not a very good critical thinker, doesn’t always gather sufficient information, doesn’t always look at the data in nontraditional ways.  Best if he/she is connected to those who think differently—and wanders off if this support is not immediately available. Following through is not easy.
