INFP

Quieter than most, which presents a writing and performing challenge. There’s great depth, a need for harmony, a desire to explore personal values and express personal vision in an autonomous way. Enjoys uninterrupted time to think and do properly, but requires inspiration to do his/her best creative work. Not wild about “off the cuff” or “work in progress”—best if the idea or the project can be fully conceived and implemented before others become involved. And, best if the environment is harmonious, friendly and supportive.

Potential Areas of Conflict

Can be perceived as unrealistic, can be too demanding that the world adhere to a deeply personal vision. May be volatile. Does not appreciate criticism or rejection. Maybe illogical or unreasonable—but this behavior may be difficult for him/her to see or understand. Keeps every possible option open, reluctant to make decisions. Not especially well-organized or tidy. Does not appreciate deadlines or the tension associated with them. Perfectionist, sometimes to the point of driving others crazy, or himself/herself into inaction. Compromise can be a big challenge.
